Changing Tax Rates in ceFoundation
This article provides instructions for changing tax rates in the ceFoundation application.

ceFoundation provides for several taxing methods depending on the taxing requirements of your company. Changing tax rates for the two most common taxing methods is illustrated below. If you are unsure of which method your company uses, please contact Computer Ease Technical Support before continuing.

For all taxing methods,
  • Change the tax rates between the close of business the day before the tax rate is scheduled to change, and before the start of business the day of the change. For example, if the tax rate is scheduled to change April 1, 2009, change the tax rates after close of business March 31, 2009 but before start of business April 1, 2009.
  • Print a DETAIL TAX REPORT before making the change.
  • After the change, examine contracts processed with the new tax rates to insure you are satisified with the changes.
