Computer Ease
Technical Support provides the following checklist of your facility's
servers and workstations. Our support staff will use this
checklist to insure a thorough and successful migration.
Please
fill out the below checklist completely then send or fax to
Computer Ease Technical Support 262-798-9423.
We may
contact you afterwards with additional questions or to request
additional information.
VPN

is the VPN Computer Ease Technical Support will use to connect to

The IP Address is the
external IP
address of your VPN. If you do not know this, you may be able
to get that information by visiting here.
Server
Information |

Once
we've successfully connected to your
network, we use this information to connect to both the old and new
servers. Each server provides information we need to
successfully migrate your system and application. | | Server

The Server Name column
above is the name of the server. If Unix, this
can be found by typing 'hostname', without quotes, from the shell when
you are logged in as root. If Windows, this can
be found the Control Panel - System Properties - Computer Name - "Full
Computer Name".
The IP Address should be
the internal IP
address. This is typically, but not always, an address that
resembles
either 10.0.x.x or 192.168.x.x.
The
Login must be a root (Unix) or Administrator
(Windows) level login.
Remote Desktop must
be enabled on each Windows-based server listed here for Computer Ease to
successfully migrate your
application.
Workstation
Information |

Once
we've successfully connected to your network, we use this information
to connect to and configure each workstation. Each
workstation will
have
the Computer Ease application installed and configured before the actual
migration is performed.
Please list all
workstations that
will need to connect to the new server. This will insure each
workstation is configured and ready when the application is
migrated

The Name column above is
the name of the Windows workstation. This
can be found under Control Panel - System Properties -
Computer Name -
"Full Computer Name"
The OS Version is the version
of Windows currently installed on this workstation. For example, "XP
Pro", "Windows 2000", etc.
The IP
Address should be the internal IP address. This is
typically, but not always, an address that resembles either 10.0.x.x or
192.168.x.x. If you use DHCP, this column can be ignored.
The
Windows Login and Windows Password should be the login and
password that is entered when the workstation is started.
Usually,
this information is entered after pressing CTRL-ALT-DELETE.
The
RCS Login is the login the workstation uses to connect to the existing
RCS server, for example 1 or 2, or rcs001 or rcs002.
Remote Desktop must
be enabled on each workstation listed here for Computer Ease to
successfully migrate your
application.
Printer

the new server. Please list all
printers at your facility. This will include system printers
that every operator can print to as well as dedicated printers attached

The Printer# is the
printer # you use from the RCS/ceFoundation application. For
example, 1, 2, or 30. Or, if this printer is connected
directly
to a workstation, printer 0 (zero).
The
Brand and Model of this printer. For
example, Okidata 820 or HP JetDirect 600.
If
the printer is an IP printer, please identify its IP address here.
This is
typically, but not always, an address that resembles either 10.0.x.x or
192.168.x.x. If the printer is not an IP printer, the IP
Address may be left blank.
If the printer is
connected directly to
a workstation, please identify that workstation here. This
workstation should also be listed in the table above entitled Workstation
Information.
Please describe this
printer's primary usage. For example, "contract printer",
"report printer" or "receipt printer".
